Can you tell us a bit about Gigared and its origins?
I’m proud to say that Gigared was the first MSO (multiple system operator) to offer Triple Play services—Internet, TV and IP telephony—in Argentina. We were founded in 2000 and have grown to become the absolute leader on the Argentine littoral. From the beginning, we’ve invested in our own underground fiber optic network, which allows us to provide cutting-edge technology and the highest quality standards.
How does Gigared position itself in the telecommunications market today?
We operate in continuous competition with large and well-known service providers. Despite that, we’ve managed to thrive. For over a decade under my leadership as CEO, Gigared has experienced its greatest period of growth. We’ve delivered fast and stable Internet speeds, added OTT (over-the-top) services and continuously developed innovative solutions to meet our customers’ evolving needs.
What are your goals for the near future?
From 2025 to 2027, we’ve planned a robust investment strategy focused on the client. This includes a significant expansion of our networks and the opening of new locations. We’re committed to reinforcing our presence and improving access for more users across Argentina.

Can you explain the significance of your infrastructure?
Our extensive underground fiber optic network interconnects all of our business units across the country. This makes us the only operator in Argentina with such an integrated infrastructure. As a result, we’re able to offer highly available and reliable service models, setting us apart from competitors.
What role does your Data Center play in your services?
Our Data Center is a critical component of our offering. It enables us to deliver a full suite of corporate services, including server and network management, data storage and management, security, resource monitoring, cloud management, and technical support. This infrastructure helps our clients reduce costs, stay focused on their core business and improve operational efficiency.
How do you view Gigared’s position in the industry today?
There’s no doubt in my mind that Gigared understood where the industry was heading. We’ve successfully positioned ourselves in a highly competitive market and have become an undisputed leader in our sector.
