"AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity are poised to radically transform the enterprise landscape of every single industry."
What do you believe have been the key factors behind Mobileum’s success?
Mobileum has grown by staying focused on helping operators solve real pain points and business problems fast. Telecom never stands still. Every year brings new pressures; recently, operators have been navigating 5G, IoT, AI exploration, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and expanding regulatory demands. Operators need partners who can move at their pace. Our advantage is that when the industry shifts, we shift faster.
We began on the network side and evolved into five areas: roaming, security, testing, network analytics, and risk management. This range matters because today’s issues rarely fit into one discrete category. Operators need integrated intelligence that reflects how their networks actually function.
Many of our leaders and engineers come directly from operator environments. That gives us operational understanding that is difficult to replicate. It has helped us build credibility, which is one of the most valuable assets in telecom.
A recent example is our recognition by Juniper Research as a top global vendor in voice fraud prevention and trust. Voice spam, robocalling, and spoofing continue to rise. Our AI-driven solutions analyze, verify, and block scam and spam calls in real time. This shows the kind of practical, high-impact innovation operators depend on.
How would you describe Mobileum’s core business focus today, and what solutions are making the biggest impact for your clients?
Our focus is on helping operators run smarter, more secure, and more efficient intent-driven networks. As 5G Standalone, VoLTE, cloud, and IoT increase complexity, operators need an intelligence layer that connects the dots in real time.
Across roaming, security, testing, risk management, and network analytics, we help operators:
- Protect networks and customers
- Safeguard revenue and margins
- Launch new services with confidence
- Make decisions faster with reliable data
Today, one of our main value propositions is margin protection. Fraud can escalate overnight. Revenue leakage is difficult to spot without the right tools. A single roaming or signaling failure can affect millions of travelers.
A recent example is Grameenphone in Bangladesh, which selected our market-leading risk management platform to drive an AI-led transformation of its entire risk practice. The program is already reducing fraud exposure, improving detection accuracy, and strengthening the customer experience. Their CEO described the program as “a proactive approach to safeguarding our future,” which is exactly the type of result we aim for.
What role does Mobileum play in helping operators improve margins?
Telecom is a margin-driven business, and operators are facing more cost pressure each year. Mobileum improves financial performance by:
- Stopping fraud and security incidents before they cause financial losses
- Identifying revenue leakage across complex service chains
- Optimizing roaming and wholesale costs
- Preventing network degradation and network failures
- Helping operators monetize 5G, IoT, and enterprise services efficiently
Roaming is a good example. When customers travel abroad, operators settle costs behind the scenes. Poorly optimized agreements or network choices can cost millions. Our tools allow operators to steer roaming traffic intelligently and optimize wholesale spend. This improves EBITDA without affecting the end user experience.
This is why many of our systems become part of an operator’s core financial strategy.
In a rapidly evolving telecom landscape, what differentiates Mobileum from other technology providers?
Three qualities define us.
A portfolio built for real complexity
Telecom problems do not live in isolation. We combine roaming tools with testing, fraud analytics with security, and assurance with network data. This gives operators complete visibility.
Speed and execution
When a national network faces an incident, teams need answers immediately. We work with a strong sense of urgency and precision.
Telecom DNA supported by real-world AI
Our teams include people who have run major networks. They understand uptime, customer impact, and regulatory pressure. We have also used AI and ML for many years to detect anomalies, secure networks, and automate decisions.
Our approach is also recognized by leading analysts. Gartner highlighted our capabilities in service and network assurance because we help operators validate networks with the same discipline that car companies use for crash testing.
We are also proud that Kaleido Intelligence recently listed Mobileum among the Roaming Champions for 2025. This recognition highlights the scale and impact of our global roaming testing and intelligence capabilities and reinforces our leadership in advanced roaming analytics and experience optimization.
Together, these strengths position us as a partner that understands the realities of running modern networks and has the scale, expertise, and AI-driven technology to help operators stay ahead.
How is Mobileum expanding globally and adapting to opportunities in 5G, roaming, and digital transformation?
We grow in the areas where operators feel the most urgency.
- 5G Standalone readiness
- VoLTE and 5G roaming readiness
- IoT and enterprise use cases
- API driven programmable networks
- Data monetization
In data monetization, we recently formed a strategic AI alliance with NOHOLD to help operators unlock new revenue streams by converting network data into actionable intelligence. We are also partnering with Telkomsel in Indonesia to deliver scalable AI-driven insights to enterprise customers, supporting one of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
A strong example of our broader role is our work with NTT Communications on connected vehicles. Cars are becoming connected devices. When they cross a border, connectivity should continue without interruption. We help ensure they stay online, safe, and compliant throughout their journey.
How is Mobileum helping telcos shift from traditional analytics to real-time, AI-powered intelligence?
Telecom networks produce enormous volumes of data that humans cannot process in real time. AI is now essential.
We support this transition in three ways.
Real-time operational intelligence
Our analytics detect anomalies, fraud, quality issues, and signaling disruptions in milliseconds. Automated responses ensure rapid correction.
Collect once, utilize many times
Increasingly, our solutions are highly interconnected. We collect data in the network, OSS, and IT domains. We then ensure that this data can be processed to provide business value in many different ways, whether technically (customer care, network operations), marketing (uptake of different price plans), financially (business assurance), and beyond.
AI-driven accessibility
Telecom tools were traditionally built for specialists. Today, business teams also need access to insights. Our AI and GenAI capabilities make complex intelligence accessible through natural language and intuitive workflows.
We introduced several of these innovations at MWC Barcelona 2025, including roaming and network optimization, eSIM revenue protection, risk detection, and performance automation.
The biggest challenge ahead is adoption. Operators that trust automation will run faster and more efficiently than those that continue to rely on manual processes.
What emerging threats are operators facing in the 5G and AI era, and how is Mobileum staying ahead?
5G expands capacity and also expands the attack surface. Operators now face:
- AI-powered fraud
- New signaling vulnerabilities
- Cloud and API exploitation
- IoT attacks across large device fleets
We respond with real-time detection, cross-domain intelligence, and adaptive AI models.
In Saudi Arabia, we helped STC identify and block new fraud patterns and cyberattacks that could disrupt service or compromise customer data. These attacks are invisible to consumers. Our role is to ensure they never feel the impact.
The difference is similar to having one security camera compared to having full airport-level visibility.
How does Mobileum build long-term relationships with clients and partners?
We begin with the business problem rather than the product menu.
Our model is based on:
- Understanding both technology needs and operational pressure
- Delivering value quickly
- Evolving solutions as requirements change
When we acquired a core network testing company (SIGOS), it was not only a product expansion. It also strengthened our ability to help operators launch new services faster, from opening a 5G area to preparing for holiday travel spikes.
In telecom, trust is created during critical moments. When something must work, customers call us. And we deliver.
What is your vision for the next three to five years?
Networks are moving from simply connecting devices to actively interpreting and predicting behavior. The biggest opportunities ahead lie in:
- Large-scale IoT
- Enterprise connectivity
- Automated operations
- Real-time security
- Data-driven monetization
Mobileum’s vision is to serve as the intelligence layer that turns network innovation into business transformation.
How do Mobileum’s solutions impact everyday consumers and businesses?
Most people think about telecom only when something fails. Our goal is to prevent that moment.
We help operators avoid the issues that frustrate customers the most: dropped calls, roaming failures, unexpected charges, and fraud. We also support critical business functions, including connected vehicles, logistics, remote work, and payment systems.
During UEFA Euro 2024 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, millions depended on consistent mobile connectivity. Our GlobalRoamer platform, which is the largest roaming testing footprint in the world, helped operators detect congestion and resolve issues before they reached fans.
At one venue, we detected a 40 percent drop in download speeds during peak crowd density. In others, we highlighted where 5G significantly outperformed 4G. Operators acted on this information immediately.
When Mobileum is performing well, the result is simple. People experience a network that works everywhere, even in the most demanding environments.
