Purnell Delivers Future of Ultra-luxury Watches with Technology and Unicity

Revolutionizing traditional engineering for a fun-loving market, the brand creates a masterpiece in every product

Weighing only less than half a drop of water at 0.79 grams, the triple axis tourbillon is a technology marvel by Purnell. The ultra-luxury watchmaker has taken the tourbillon, which is a precision technique invented more than 200 years ago to fight gravity, and made a three-axis version of a tourbillon to achieve unparalleled timekeeping precision. Priced at least $400,000 each, the Swiss-made timepieces have fused cutting-edge technology with a fun demeanor as Purnell partners with sports, entertainment, and other lifestyle icons worldwide.

“When we talk about high-end watches, the first thing that comes to mind is tradition,” says Maurizio Mazzocchi, CEO of Purnell. “We are less about tradition; we’re driven by the future. We have an absolutely unique technology, design, and product, and our tourbillon distinctiveness drives our brand.”

Each timepiece takes around nine months to create, blending the perfection of movement with modern exquisite design. In partnership with the Ballon d’Or™ football awards, for example, Purnell has created a line featuring a flying tourbillon encased in a tiny golden football at the bottom of the watch’s face. A similar approach has been adopted in its partnerships with Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco, and other organizations. Guided by its motto, “More Future than Past,” Purnell will explore further partnerships in the United States, Japan, and the Middle East.

“We want to go above and beyond creating masterpieces and communicate fun living as well; art can be fun,” says Mazzocchi, who is a former professional football player. “With our distinctive lifestyle approach and products, Purnell is evolving into a globally iconic ultra-luxury brand.”
