PEAR Health Labs fosters fitness using hyper-personalized content

Its Aaptiv digital solution leverages AI to offer individualized wellness programs for employees and health insurance members.

PEAR Health Labs has taken the saying “Exercise is Medicine” to a whole new level. Instead of developing generic digital fitness coaching content, the company creates exercise programs tailored to every individual driven by AI, biometrics and other technologies. The result is a hyper-personalized fitness routine that is engaging and accessible to many users, from individuals and employees utilizing its Aaptiv wellness program to white-label software clients such as the military and other organizations.

“PEAR’s mission has always been to deliver incredible content pertaining to body movement customized to specific individuals,” says Robert Allison, co-founder and CEO of PEAR Health Labs. “Our primary focus is on developing programs that have an engaging motive and are behaviorally creative so that they inspire people to continue using them on a regular basis.”

To achieve this goal, PEAR’s audio and video content are assembled to fit the target users’ objectives and specific point along their fitness journey. The programs are thus progressive to avoid overwhelming users, accessible even without an internet connection and affordable.

PEAR’s products include Aaptiv, a comprehensive fitness and wellness benefit designed for individual consumers, insurance plan holders or employees in a corporate wellness program. It offers on-demand daily workout plans based on a user’s age, interest, location and physical ability. With feedback from expert trainers and accessible at home or through a large network of member gyms, Aaptiv encourages more physical activity to help reduce and prevent disease and improve lives.

At the same time, PEAR provides white-label software for clients wanting to promote the health of their members or consumers using the client’s own branding. Examples of these are digital solutions developed by PEAR for the United States Air Force and other organizations.

“We are on the lookout for companies that share our mission,” Allison says. “I could easily see us partnering with other large data-centric firms that are interested in delivering goods and services that help create a healthier world for everyone.”
