“PEAR's mission has always been to deliver incredible content personalized to somebody around body movement, specifically under the belief that exercise is medicine.”
Can you provide us with an overview of your company as it operates today?
Our organization is at the forefront of natural healthcare in the United States, utilizing objective diagnostic methods to identify health deficiencies and address them through natural, evidence-based solutions. Our approach integrates chiropractic care, nutritional strategies, and weight management to enhance overall health and well-being.
What do you think has been the cornerstone of your system’s success?
The foundation of our success lies in delivering measurable patient outcomes. By employing pre- and post-treatment lab testing, we can objectively track improvements and demonstrate the efficacy of natural interventions. For instance, we use X-rays to assess spinal abnormalities and functional impairments, and we document improvements over time. Similarly, body composition testing helps us address imbalances in muscle mass and adipose tissue. Our structured, objective testing illustrates that a natural approach can rival, and often surpass, conventional medical treatments in managing pain and chronic conditions.
Could you share examples of cases where your methods have been more effective than traditional medical approaches?
Chronic pain, for example, is often managed in conventional medicine with highly addictive narcotics like oxycodone, which can lead to dependency and even heroin use. We address chronic pain through chiropractic care and other non-invasive methods, reducing inflammation and improving function without the risk of addiction.
We’ve also helped patients avoid costly and potentially ineffective spinal surgeries. A significant number of patients experience poor outcomes after their first surgery, with failure rates increasing dramatically for subsequent procedures. Chiropractic care offers a conservative, side-effect-free alternative that should be the first line of treatment.
In managing chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease, our certified weight-loss program—recognized by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) as a Diabetes Prevention Program—has proven effective. It is one of the few globally acknowledged programs validated to reduce diabetes risk. For heart disease, we use lab testing, lifestyle interventions, and nutritional strategies to reduce inflammation and lower key risk markers.
We also address conditions like insomnia, mood disorders, and chronic fatigue, which are often linked to chronic pain. By integrating chiropractic care with nutritional interventions, we improve not only pain levels but also sleep quality, mood, and hormonal balance, benefiting conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.
That’s fascinating. I can relate to this personally—I experienced back pain, poor sleep, and stress-related symptoms, which my chiropractor linked to liver health. Through dietary changes, particularly avoiding sugar and prioritizing organic foods, I resolved these issues. I completely agree that this represents the future of healthcare.
You’re absolutely right. Research shows that 70% of chronic diseases are rooted in lifestyle factors. This creates an incredible opportunity for the future of healthcare. While advancements like genetic and immune therapies are remarkable, the traditional “pill-for-every-ill” model is becoming outdated. People are gravitating toward innovative therapies and natural solutions.
Take antacids, for example. These are commonly prescribed to elderly patients, even though reduced stomach acid in aging already hinders nutrient absorption. Long-term use can exacerbate conditions like osteoporosis, increasing the risk of falls and fractures. This highlights the need for a shift in approach—away from overprescription and toward sustainable, physiology-based care.
Beyond patient care, you also empower chiropractors to build successful practices. Could you elaborate on that?
We take a comprehensive approach, assisting chiropractors with site selection, leasing, clinic setup, operational efficiency, marketing, financial management, and branding. Training is at the core of what we do—we ensure that doctors, staff, and marketers are equipped to excel.
What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We analyze each practitioner’s unique traits and build a team that complements their strengths. For example, an introverted chiropractor might need a more extroverted team or a strong operational manager. This tailored strategy creates cohesive and high-performing teams, distinguishing us from traditional franchise models.
Would it be accurate to describe your model as an incubator for practitioners?
That’s a fair comparison. While we follow a proven system, we adapt it to the individuality of each practitioner. Every chiropractor is an artist in their own right, and we refine our framework to suit their style, ensuring their authenticity shines through.
What message would you like to share with potential investors about your business?
The chiropractic profession represents a rapidly growing sector in healthcare, with significant opportunities for value creation. We are at the forefront of consolidating and scaling this market, offering investors a chance to enter at a low cost and capitalize on a high-value exit. The industry is ripe for innovation and presents a scalable global venture.
What is your vision for the company over the next three to five years?
Our short-term goal is to expand to over 100 locations, while our long-term vision is to establish 1,000 clinics and publish groundbreaking research. We’ve amassed one of the world’s largest patient databases in natural healthcare and are collaborating with software providers and our nonprofit, Health Missions, to conduct large-scale studies. Our aim is to establish natural healthcare as a credible, research-backed alternative within medical literature over the next decade.
